In less than thirty years, Heritage is no longer restricted to churches or castles but also includes old village, washhouses, and even popular refrains. A silent but conclusive revolution which saw the French evolve from revering mostly State Heritage to recognising and valuing an Heritage which belongs to the whole community and celebrates a way of life that has been handed down for generations by French people.
This film is about the French National Association for Towns and Regions of Art and History (a French quality label since 1985), which was launched in 2000.
Through its actions and partnerships, the National association has been able to set up a network of towns and regions anxious to preserve their identity and sustain their economic development while protecting the value of their heritage for the future
